Parents are required to sign the medical history form to provide consent for administration of emergency prescription medications (i.e. Epipen, puffer). Verbal permission is not acceptable as consent to administer medication.
Parents are expected to communicate the use of the emergency prescription medication, and specific symptoms to look for.
All medication must be labelled with the student’s name and dosage amount. The medication will be kept in a location in the preschool that is out of reach of all students, and easily accessible for the educators.
Educators will not administer over the counter (i.e. Tylenol) or other prescription medications.
